worktops laminated worktops
To further increase choice, we have developed various edge finishes : 1.5mm-thick edge in all worktop colours, postformed or grooved to receive an MDF edge covered with polymer or birch, wild cherry, spruce or oak wood. MOBALPA also offers an aluminium edge for these worktops, which gives your kitchen a top-of-the-range look as well the practical benefit of drip prevention. All these worktops are manufactured with 39mm water-resistant chipboard. Worktops designed to be tiled are also water-resistant and are 32mm thick. Edges for these worktops are adjustable so as to adapt to the thickness of the tiles. All assembly, including the finishing options, is carried out at our factory.
wood worktops
Warning: wood expands and contracts with changing atmospheric conditions, leading to warping and cracks. Maintaining a constant temperature and humidity level can prevent these problems. It is essential to follow storage and installation recommendations carefully (see installation instructions). When fitted, the worktop must be able to expand freely, so expansion joins and fittings must be used. The guarantee does not cover damage due to non-respect of storage an/or installation instructions. Colour variations over time and small cracks and warps are inevitable in a natural material and do not constitute grounds for an exchange under the terms of the guarantee.
“mineralite” worktops
These worktops are very hygienic as they are anti-bacterial and can be installed without joins. The material can be cut and reworked on site with the right tools (see installation guide). Cutouts should be made with a router and not with a jigsaw. Glue cartridges and polishing discs for small repairs to chips are available in the “mineralite” worktop accessories chapter. The worktop should be fitted in such a way as to allow the material to expand freely: expansion joins and flexible fixings should be used. The guarantee does not cover damage due to non-respect of storage an/or installation instructions. Warning: this material remains sensitive to heat and hot pans and dishes should not be placed directly on the worktop. We offer the option of an integrated pan rest. Furthermore, food should not be chopped directly on this type of worktop.
stainless steel worktops MOBALPA offers a wide range of high quality 18/10 stainless steel worktops. This is a high-resistance material but is easily scratched. Various flush soldered sink and bowl options are available. The soldered joints are hand-polished and the finish may differ slightly from that of the rest of the worktop.
granite
Granite is waterproof, stain resistant and almost
impossible to scratch, maintaining its diamond-polished looks for years. Marble
is less hardwearing but features are less granular, even veined colour for a
softer look. A large selection of colours give a variety of looks. No matter what colour your doors, white, oak, pine or hand painted, co-ordinating granite and marble enhance a room. charcoal greys with bright silvery flecks to soft veined terracotta, there is a wealth of colour and texture.
CORIAN
In your kitchen, living with CORIAN is a delight. It is easy to clean, and does not absorb liquids or odours. It resists most household stains and will stand up to the small incidents of normal daily life. A selection of sinks and bowls are available to match and fit seamlessly into your CORIAN countertop. Because CORIAN surfaces are renewable, difficult stains and accidental damages are easily repaired, leaving it looking like new, year after year
made to measure worktops Our factory can manufacture worktops in special shapes, allowing you to personalise your kitchen design as much as you like. It is essential to send us a detailed plan of your design, including measurements, indicating the finished edges using the symbols provided.

MOBALPA
worktops are available in 26 colours of high-pressure laminate. 
MOBALPA also offers varnished and oiled wood worktops
in 10 different species and various types of manufacture (see chapter 4). They
look very attractive and will appeal to fans of natural materials. A bottle of
oil is supplied with each worktop for its upkeep, to be applied every 2 or 3
months. Surfaces exposed to water must be treated more often. It is essential to
follow the instructions in the users’ guide supplied with each worktop. 
These
are synthetic worktops composed of a 6mm-thick mixture of resin and mineral
material glued onto chipboard. The underside is covered with a sheet of white
laminate. The total thickness is 3.9cm. Flush-integrated sink bowls are available
as an option.

and Marble worktops make the ultimate statement
in kitchen design and lifestyle. The simple
addition of these beautiful materials to a kitchen,
or piece of freestanding furniture, represents the finishing touch, offering both beauty
and elegance that will be appreciated hardest worked areas of the
kitchen, and stone offers the
most hardwearing of materials to match. Unlike other surfaces,
Granite and Marble both offer year
upon year of durability.
A
subtle blend of natural minerals and clear acrylic, CORIAN
is solid all the way through, providing a homogeneous and hygienic surface.
Available in over fifty colours, CORIAN can be cut, joined and formed to
meet any design need. Available in eleven profiles, including
"Waterfall," which has a lip around the edges to prevent spillage,
this is the most customisable material available.
